いいねの数だけ論文紹介まとめ

Twitterで紹介した論文をまとめた。先人の洞察から学べることは研究の喜びである。物性の研究をしていて関連テーマの先行研究サーベイをすれば自然と触れる機会があるであろう論文のみに絞った。オーソドックスな論文を一応読んでおくということは新規な現象を探索する上でも大事だと思う。

1. A New Type of Antiferromagnetic Structure in the Rutile Type Crystal, A. Yoshimori
https://journals.jps.jp/doi/10.1143/JPSJ.14.807
らせん磁気構造が磁性体中で発現することを示した最初の論文のうちの一つ。物質としてはMnO\(_2\) (polianite)、データはEricksonの未発表のものを使用している。

2. Structure magnetique de l'alliage MnAu\(_2\), A. Herpin, P. Meriel, and J. Villain
らせん磁気構造が発現することを示した2つ目の論文。物質はMnAu\(_2\)。出版年は1959年でYoshimori論文と同じ。著者の一人はかの有名なアンドレ・エルパン。
らせん磁性の理論的予言に関してはVillain (1959, J. Phys. Chem. Solids)やKaplan (1959, Phys. Rev.)なども同時期に同様の議論をしているがYoshimori論文が一番早い。Kaplan, and Menyuk, Phil. Mag. 87, 3711 (2007): doi.org/10.1080/14786430601080229, Rodríguez-Carvajal, and Villain, C. R. Physique 20, 770 (2019): doi.org/10.1016/j.crhy.2019.07.004, を読むとこれにまつわるネチョネチョした経緯が垣間見れて楽しい。らせん磁性にだれが一番最初に気づいたかに関してはいろんな人がいろいろ言いたいことがありそうだ。

3. Magnetoferroelectricity in Cr\(_2\)BeO\(_4\), R. E. Newnham et al.
らせん磁気構造由来の強誘電性を報告した初めての論文。TbMnO\(_3\)論文は磁場で電気分極が大きく変化することがアピールポイントなので初学者は騙されないように。

4. External magnetic fields of antiferromagnets, I. Dzyaloshinskii
反強磁性体はその磁気対称性に依存して外部にマルチポール電磁場を発生していることを指摘した論文。

5. Theory of Magnetism of NiF\(_2\), T. Moriya
寄生強磁性の起源としてDM相互作用以外の機構があることを議論した論文。スピンキャントがあると脳筋でDMが~と言い出す人がいるが別にそれ以外の起源でも弱強磁性は出る。

6. Remarks on linear magneto-resistance and magneto-heat-conductivity, S. Shtrikman, and H. Thomas
磁性体においてゼロ磁場近傍における線形磁気抵抗(\(\Delta \rho \propto AH\), \(A\)は秩序変数の向きによって符号反転する)が出るための磁気対称性がピエゾ磁性と同じであることを示した論文。磁気八極子が~とか言い出す前にこの論文を引用しろ。

7. Effect of magnon-phonon thermal relaxation on heat transport by magnons, D. J. Sanders and D. Walton
熱伝導測定は常にマグノン流の寄与を検出できるわけではないことを指摘した論文。熱伝導測定は温度計をサンプルに接触させて格子温度を測定する手法が通常取られるのでマグノン温度は原理的に測定できない。マグノン流によるフォノンのマグノンドラッグが測定できるだけなので、スピン-格子結合が小さいMn化合物ではマグノン流は熱伝導率測定では実際観測できない。特に断ることなしに磁性体の熱伝導率(\(\kappa\))は格子成分(\(\kappa_{lattice}\))とスピン成分(\(\kappa_{spin}\))の和で書けるので、(\(\kappa=\kappa_{\text{lattice}} + \kappa_{\text{spin}}\))と表せる、ということを言っている論文を見かけたら眉に唾をつけて読んだ方がいい。

8. The ordinary transport properties of the noble metals, J. M. Ziman
銅などの一価金属の電気伝導物性に関して議論した論文。単純な物質でもホール係数はフェルミ面の形状によって温度依存することは示唆に富んでいる。金属におけるホール係数は温度・磁場に依存しないとして仮定して議論している論文は浅薄さを批判されるべき。

9. The Hall coefficient of Al-Ga alloys, C. Papastaikoudis et al.
Alのホール係数が磁場で符号反転することはA&Mにも記述されていて有名だが、等電子元素Gaを不純物として加えても反転し、添加濃度に関しても非線形であることを示した論文。(弱磁場)ホール効果は複雑怪奇。

10. A Geometrical Description of the "Classical" Weak-Field Hall Effect in Metals, F. D. M. Haldane
弱磁場ホール効果をフェルミ面の幾何学的形状に関連付けて議論した論文。Tsuji (1958), Ong (1991)は有名だがこれはいつ出版されるのか?

11. Helifan: A new type of magnetic structure, J. Jensen, and A. R. Mackintosh
らせん磁性とファン構造が交互に現れる新しい磁気構造”ヘリファン”を提案した論文。図1がかわいい。

12. Inhomogeneous magnetoelectric effect, V. G. Baryakhtar, V. A. Lvov, and D. A. Yablonskii
JETPL 37, 565 (1983).
らせん磁性誘起の強誘電性に対するモデル、いわゆるスピンカレントモデル\(\boldsymbol{P}\propto \boldsymbol{e}_{ij}\times (\boldsymbol{S}_i \times \boldsymbol{S}_j)\)の連続極限に相当する式を初めて導出した論文。Mostovoy論文は概念的にこれのコピーなので優先的に引用するのは適切ではない。

13. Contribution to the theory of inhomogeneous states of magnets in the region of magnetic-field-induced phase transitions. Mixed state of antiferromagnets, A. N. Bogdanov, and D. A. Yablonskii
Soviet Physics JETP 69, 142 (1989)
反強磁性体におけるスキルミオン的構造を議論した論文。

14. Magnetic Properties of CoCl\(_2\) and NiCl\(_2\), M. E. Lines
六配位されたCo\(^{2+}\)の磁性を理論的に議論している。結晶場、スピン軌道相互作用の取り扱いが学べてよい。交換相互作用の取り扱いは今となっては古くなってしまったと言わざるを得ない。

15. Acoustical activity in tellurium, S. Zhigong et al.
キラル結晶のテルルにおける横波フォノンは縮退が解けることを示した論文。光学活性のようにフォノンも左右円偏光に分かれることを示唆している。

16. Spin-Orbit-Coupling Effects in Transition-Metal Compounds, J. B. Goodenough
軌道縮退が残る遷移金属化合物で、三方晶、正方晶結晶場とスピン軌道相互作用が共存するときにd電子準位がどのように分裂するかを議論している。

17. Observation of heat transport by magnons, F. W. Gorter et al.
マグノンによる熱伝導を主張している論文として知っている中で一番古い。磁場依存性が複雑なのでさらなる検証が必要。

18. Phonon scattering at crystal surfaces, R. O. Pohl, and B. Stritzker
サファイアの低温熱伝導は表面の影響を受けて\(T^3\)則から複雑にずれてしまうことを報告している。低温熱伝導は磁性体でなくてもよくわかっていない。熱伝導率が低温で\(T^3\)則からわずかにずれるだけで、ありもしない準粒子の存在を持ち出すのはナンセンスである。

19. High-temperature weak ferromagnetism in a low-density free-electron gas, D. P. Young et al.
CaB\(_6\)にドープすると転移点600 Kの強磁性が出るらしいです。

20. Observation of orbital waves as elementary excitations in a solid, E. Saitoh et al.
LaMnO\(_3\)におけるオービトンの実験的証拠を報告した論文のようです。

21. Phase Transitions of Dirac Electrons in Bismuth, L. Li et al.
ビスマスが強磁場下で相転移をすることを報告した論文のようです。

22. Non-reciprocal optical rotation in cubic antiferrornagnets, E. B. Graham, and R. E. Raab
マルチフェロイクスにおける非相反光学効果は近年多く報告されている。関連する非相反効果として予言されているがまだ報告がないのはおそらくこれくらいだろう。

23. "Triple-q" Modulated Magnetic Structure and Critical Behavior of Neodymium, P. Bak, and B. Lebech
単体のネオジムにおけるトリプルq磁気構造の発現を提案した論文。現在では否定されているようだが、理論としては面白い。

24. A new law of crystal morphology extending the Law of Bravais, J. D. H. Donnay, and David Harker
American Mineralogist 22, 446 (1937).
結晶モルフォロジーにおけるいわゆるBravais-Friedel則の拡張版

25. Statistical Mechanics and Origin of the Magnetoelectric Effect in Cr\(_2\)O\(_3\), R. Hornreich and S. Shtrikman
線形電気磁気効果を示す物質として有名なCr\(_2\)O\(_3\)の理論の決定版といえる。マルチフェロイクスの電気磁気相関もほとんどここで提案されている機構とパラレルである。リバイバルではなくリサイクルというのが正しい。

26. The topological theory of defects in ordered media, N. D. Mermin
トポロジカル欠陥のホモトピーによる分類に関する解説。とても分かりやすくて実験家でもすらすら読める。

27. Landau diamagnetic response in metals as a Fermi surface effect, A. V. Nikolaev
フェルミ面の磁場下での変形をとても丁寧に議論した論文。無数のチューブに分かれたあとどうなるか、通常の教科書に書いてないことまで深く考えられている。

28. First-order longitudinal Hall effect, M. Möllendorf, and W. Bauhofer
磁場が傾いていたり、単斜晶のような低対称性の系だったりするときには伝導率テンソルが複雑になり、電流とホール電場と印加磁場は必ずしもお互いが垂直な関係にならないことが指摘されている。たとえば\(\rho _{xx}\), \(\rho _{yx}\)だけ測定して\(\sigma _{xy}=\rho _{yx}/(\rho _{xx}^2+\rho _{yx}^2)\)のような式を使って伝導率テンソルを計算することは、対称性が低い場合はできないことが分かる。これは熱伝導率-熱抵抗率テンソルの変換の時でも同様である。傾いた磁場...?熱伝導率テンソル...?どこかで聞いたような...?

29. Failure of the Bloch \(T^5\) Law for the Low-Temperature Electrical Resistivity of Metals, M. Kaveh and N. Wiser
教科書でよく書かれている抵抗の\(T^5\)則は現実の物質ではよく成り立たないことが指摘されている。教科書ばかり読んで満足していないで現実の物質に向き合うことが物性物理学では重要だ。

30. Critical behavior of the electrical resistivity in magnetic systems, S. Alexander, J. S. Helman, and I. Balberg
磁性体の転移点近傍における抵抗のふるまいはFisher-Langer (1968)が有名だがこれは金属-半導体vs.強磁性-反強磁性においてどうなるかを議論している。

31. Influence of s-f exchange interaction on electrical conduction in rare-earth dialuminides, H. J. van Daal, and K. H. J. Buschow
伝導電子が局在スピンに散乱され、電気抵抗がどのような温度依存性を示すのか、\(R\)Al\(_2\)系を用いて実験的に示している。データが美しい。

32. Quantum Oscillations and High Carrier Mobility in the Delafossite PdCoO\(_2\), C. W. Hicks et al.
高い電気伝導性を示す酸化物PdCoO\(_2\)の量子振動によるフェルミオロジーの論文。散乱メカニズムの示唆に富み勉強になる。

33. Weak Ferromagnetism and Field-Induced Spin Reorientation in K\(_2\)V\(_3\)O\(_8\), M. D. Lumsden et al.
反転心のないV\(^{4+}\)正方格子がスピンフロップをする。DM相互作用が面白い役割を果たす。

34. Evidence for the helical spin structure due to antisymmetric exchange interaction in Cr\(_{1/3}\)NbS\(_2\), T. Moriya, and T. Miyadai
キラル結晶におけるクロムスピンのらせん磁性と磁化過程を説いた論文。

35. Anisotropy in the Antiferromagnetic MnF\(_2\), F. Keffer
Mn\(^{2+}\)の反強磁性体MnF\(_2\)の双極子―双極子相互作用由来の磁気異方性を考察した論文。Mn\(^{2+}\)は軌道縮退が残らないので双極子―双極子相互作用が異方性の主因となる。

36. Neutron-Diffraction Study of Antiferromagnetic FeCl\(_3\), J. W. Cable et al.
Fe\(^{3+}\)のハニカム格子物質FeCl\(_3\)における中性子散乱実験でらせん磁性を発見した論文。変調方向がイレギュラー。最近spiral liquidとしてリバイバルされた。

37. Piezomagnetism in CoF\(_2\), T. Moriya
CoF\(_2\)のピエゾ磁性を理論的に考察。守谷論文はどれも示唆に富む。

38. Ni\(_2\)Mo\(_3\)O\(_8\) : Complex antiferromagnetic order on a honeycomb lattice, J. R. Morey et al.
珍しいNi\(^{2+}\)四配位磁性。結晶場効果によりNi\(^{2+}\)は四面体配位を取りにくいことはよく知られているが、当該物質のNiサイトの2つのうちの一つは四配位である。ほかに四配位物質は知らないかい?

39. Experimental Evidence for Kaplan–Shekhtman–Entin-Wohlman–Aharony Interactions in Ba\(_2\)CuGe\(_2\)O\(_7\), A. Zheludev et al.
Kaplan–Shekhtman–Entin-Wohlman–Aharony相互作用という聞きなれない機構の議論をしている。要するに異方的交換相互作用のことなのでこのような大仰な呼び方をする人はいない。

40. Structural and magnetic transitions in the Mott insulator GaNb\(_4\)S\(_8\), S. Jakob et al.
ニオブが磁性を持つ化合物。珍しい。

41. Bulk quantum Hall effect in \(\eta\)−Mo\(_4\)O\(_{11}\), S. Hill et al.
3次元量子ホール効果を示すモリブデン酸化物。

42. Preparation, magnetism and electronic structures of cadmium technetates, E. E. Rodriguez et al.
テクネチウム酸化物の物性研究。Cd\(_2\)Tc\(_2\)O\(_7\)はCd\(_2\)Re\(_2\)O\(_7\)と同様超伝導を示している(?)

43. Spin gap in Tl\(_2\)Ru\(_2\)O\(_7\) and the possible formation of Haldane chains in three-dimensional crystals, S. Lee et al.
Ru酸化物の金属-絶縁体転移。

44. Predicted Quantum Topological Hall Effect and Noncoplanar Antiferromagnetism in K\(_{0.5}\)RhO\(_2\), J. Zhou et al.
Rh化合物の非共面磁気構造由来の量子異常ホール効果を予言した論文。実際は磁性体ではないようだ。Rhが磁性を持つ例を知らない。

45. 1T-TaS\(_2\) as a quantum spin liquid, K. T. Law, and P. A. Lee
TaS\(_2\)は量子スピン液体らしいです。

46. Regular-triangle trimer and charge order preserving the Anderson condition in the pyrochlore structure of CsW\(_2\)O\(_6\), Y. Okamoto et al.
タングステンの三量体化。美しい。

47. Singular angular magnetoresistance and sharp resonant features in a high-mobility metal with open orbits, ReO\(_3\), N. P. Quirk et al.
レニウム酸化物の磁気抵抗。

48. Monolayer of the 5d transition metal trichloride OsCl\(_3\): A playground for two-dimensional magnetism, room-temperature quantum anomalous Hall effect, and topological phase transitions, X.-L. Sheng, and B. K. Nikolić
オスミウムハニカム物質の理論。RuCl\(_3\)がスピン液体候補物質としてもてはやされているが、周期表でRuの下に位置するOsの化合物も面白いはずである。毒性が研究を阻んでいるが。

49. Formation of isomorphic Ir\(^{3+}\) and Ir\(^{4+}\) octamers and spin dimerization in the spinel CuIr\(_3\)S\(_3\), P. G. Radaelli et al.
イリジウムスピネルの八量体形成。昔はこういう現象がもてはやされた時期があったようだ、今は面白さがよくわからないが。

50. On the classical theory of the spinning electron, H. A. Kramers
電子の自転とスピンの関係(?)。

51. Theories of Optical Rotatory Power, E. U. Condon
自然旋光性と電気磁気テンソルの関係。ランダウの連続媒質の電磁気学には自然旋光性は誘電率テンソルの空間分散によって生じるとされているが、こちらでは電気磁気テンソルの虚部でも同様のことが起きることが示されている。

空間・時間反転対称性と光学活性の関係

53. Theory of Gyrotropic Birefringence, R. M. Hornreich, and S. Shtrikman
旋光性複屈折の理論。Cr\(_2\)O\(_3\)で出るらしいがほかのマルチフェロイクスでもでるのかな?

54. The Deflection of Charged Particles in a Ferromagnetic Medium, G. H. Wannier
強磁性体中で電子が\(B\)で曲がるのか、\(H\)で曲がるのかに関する議論。異常ホール効果を研究し始めた人が最初に読む論文。

55. Space-time symmetry restrictions on the form of transport tensors. I. Galvanomagnetic effects, Y. C. Akgoz, and G. A. Saunders
磁場中抵抗率テンソルと結晶点群との関係に関する理論。

56. A Note on Exchange Interactions, K. W. H. Stevens
現在DM相互作用と呼ばれているスピン間の反対称相互作用をおそらく最初に定式化した論文。ミクロな起源を論じているわけではないので引用されることはほとんどない。

57. Induced staggered magnetic fields in antiferromagnets, R. Alben et al.
反強磁性ドメイン(↑↓、↓↑)は磁場ではそろえられないといわれることが多いが、条件が整えば可能であることを議論した論文(No. 95もあわせて読もう)。すべては対称性によって決まることなので、磁気多極子のような不必要な概念を新しく導入する必要はない。オッカムの原理に従う限りには。

58. Superexchange interaction and symmetry properties of electron orbitals, J. Kanamori
いわゆる金森-Goodenough則の原著論文。磁性を勉強し始めた人が最初に読む論文のうちの一つ。本規則を実用上どのように運用するかが磁性イオン、配位子の結合に関して網羅的に論じられており、むしろこれを読まずに何を読むというのか。

59. On the Theory of Antiferromagnetism, van Vleck
反強磁性体の理論をまとめた論文。磁性研究者が必ず読む論文のうちの一つ。

60. The Status of the Theories of Magnetic Anisotropy, K. Yosida
磁気異方性の微視的な起源に関するレビュー。異方性のさまざまなパターンが載っており勉強になる。軌道縮退が残る場合の取り扱いを理解するのは難しい。

61. A Method of Controlling the Sense of the Screw Spin Structure, K. Siratori et al.
電気磁気効果を利用して電場でらせん磁性の巻き方を制御した論文。マルチフェロイクス?なにそれ?

62. Theory of field- and temperature-induced helix-antiferro transition: Application to NiBr\(_2\), H. Yoshiyama, N. Suzuki, and K.Motizuki
らせん磁性体NiBr\(_2\)の温度誘起らせん-反強磁性転移を説明した理論。局在スピン系のらせん周期の温度依存性を導く理論は珍しい。

63. Symmetry conditions for nonreciprocal light propagation in magnetic crystals, D. Szaller, S. Bordács, and I Kézsmárki
非相反な光伝播を結晶の磁気点群に関して分類した論文。一応全部正しいです(当社調べ)。

64. AlB\(_2\)-related intermetallic compounds – a comprehensive view based on group-subgroup relations
R.-D. Hoffmann, and R. Pöttgen
AlB\(_2\)構造とその派生構造に関するレビューとisopointalの概念に関する議論。

65. Conduction electron scattering and the resistance of the magnetic elements, G. T. Meaden
磁性金属の電気抵抗の典型的なパターンに関するレビュー。磁性体の輸送現象はここから学び始めよう。

66. Is gadolinium really ferromagnetic?, J. M. D. Coey, V. Skumryev, and K. Gallagher
室温強磁性単体ガドリニウムは実はらせん磁性なんじゃないか論文。

67. The problem of intermediate valency, D. I. Khomskii
価数揺動現象に関するレビュー。いわゆるアンダーソンの象がかわいい🐘

68. Noncentrosymmetric Oxides, P. S. Halasyamani, and K. R. Poeppelmeier
反転対称性のない酸化物のレビュー。

69. Energy Levels of Trivalent Gadolinium and Ionic Contributions to the Ground-State Splitting, B. G. Wybourne
Gd\(^{3+}\)イオンの異方性を様々な方法で計算したが実験を再現できなかったという論文。ガドリニウム化合物の研究を始めたら必ず読む論文のうちの一つ。

70. Specific heat in some gadolinium compounds. I. Experimental, M. Bouvier, P. Lethuillier, and D. Schmitt
様々なガドリニウム金属間化合物の比熱と磁性の関係を調べた論文。磁気変調のあるガドリニウム化合物を研究するとき必ず読む論文。 II. Theoretical Modelも必読。

71. Noncollinear amplitude-modulated magnetic order in Gd compounds, M. Rotter et al.
ガドリニウム化合物の磁気構造と比熱の関係を議論した論文。物質のリストが載っておりこの中に面白いのがあるかもしれないからチェックしてみよう。

72. Fermi Surface and Antiferromagnetism in Europium Metal, O. K. Andersen, and T. L. Loucks
単体のユーロピウムはらせん磁性である。その起源に関してフェルミ面のネスティングの可否を計算とともに議論している。

73. Topological Hall Effect and Berry Phase in Magnetic Nanostructures, P. Bruno, V. K. Dugaev, and M. Taillefumier
非共面的磁気構造がある伝導電子系における連続極限でのトポロジカルホール効果の理論。トポロジカルホール効果の符号はスキルミオンのトポロジカル数(の定義)、局在スピン-伝導電子のスピンの交換相互作用、キャリアの符号、磁場の方向に依存するので論文ではどのスタイルなのかをチェックする必要がある。

74. Giant generic topological Hall resistivity of MnSi under pressure, R. Ritz et al.
MnSiにおける圧力下でのA相でのトポロジカルホール効果を議論している論文。

75. Weak coupling theory of topological Hall effect, K. Nakazawa, and H. Kohno
トポロジカルホール効果に関して伝導電子とスピンとの強弱結合およびballistic-diffusiveの各領域での振る舞いを議論した論文。

76. Energy gaps in spin-wave spectra, A. R. Mackintosh
ギャップがある強磁性体の低温における電気抵抗の温度依存性を考察した論文。ギャップのない場合の\(\propto T^2\) Mannari (1959)から\(\propto T^2 \exp{-\Delta/T}\)になると主張している。

77. Electron-magnon interaction and the electrical resistivity of Tb, N. H. Andersen, and H. Smith
上記Mackintoshの計算をさらに進めて\(\propto T^2 \exp{-\Delta/T}\)より速い\(\propto T \exp{-\Delta/T}\)の寄与があることを示した論文。磁性体の電気抵抗を測定する研究者が必ず読む論文。

78. Electron-magnon interaction in \(R\)NiBC (\(R\) = Er, Ho, Dy, Tb, and Gd) series of compounds based on magnetoresistance measurements, M. B. Fontes et al.
ギャップのある反強磁性体における電気抵抗のスピン波散乱を考察した論文。導出過程が勉強になる。

79. Magnetization and electrical-transport investigation of the dense Kondo system CeAgSb\(_2\), E. Jobiliong et al.
上記Fontes et al.の結果の不備を再検討して適切な式を再導出している。Δ→0において正しく\(\propto T^5\)を予言する式を与えているので解析ではこっちを使用すべき。

80. Magneto-resistance effects in the group I metals at high fields, R. G. Chambers
金属の磁気抵抗やホール効果を解析するための公式を導いた論文。Data Baseに登録されている出版年が1957年なのに引用されるときはReceivedの1956年になるため情弱にはたどりつけない論文。

81. Effect of Magnetic Fields on Conduction—"Tube Integrals", W. Shockley
Chambers公式と同じ結論をより早く導いている論文。

82. Magnetic-field-tuned quantum criticality of the heavy-fermion system YbPtBi, E. D. Mun et al.
磁場誘起量子臨界を示すheavy fermion半金属YbPtBiを詳細に調べた論文。低温でのSDW転移に由来する抵抗の異常は基板への試料の取り付け方によって変わる。ウンソレネマ

83. Hall number across a van Hove singularity, Akash V. Maharaj et al.
\(E_{\mathrm{F}}\)がバンドの下端に近いと電子的で上端に近いと正孔的っていわれているよね?じゃあ\(E_{\mathrm{F}}\)がその間のときどうなるん?論文。

84. Fermi Surface Topology of Even-Valent Metals from their Magnetoresistance Anisotropy, E. Fawcett
フェルミ面が単純な形なら電子的・正孔的ってすぐわかっけど、逆格子空間で複雑に連結していてトポロジーが大変なことになってたらホール効果どうすんの?論文。

85. Magnetic-field dependent phonon states in paramagnetic CeF\(_3\), G.Schaack
二重縮退した光学フォノンが磁場をかけると右手左手円偏光に対応した分裂を示すことを報告。カイラルフォノンの先駆的研究。

鉄の強磁性状態では無磁場下でも2.2 Tの内部磁場が\(M\)によってかかっている。よって無磁場下でもすでに"磁気抵抗"の寄与を考えないといけないらしい。

一般にゼーベック係数は磁場反転に対して対称ではないことを示した論文。磁場が結晶の対称性の低い方向にかけられているときに起きる。対称性で許されないのにゼーベック効果の磁場依存性を安易に対称化してる論文を批判するときに使える。

強磁性絶縁体でマグノンによる熱ホール効果を実験的に初めて観測した論文。縦熱伝導を見る限り熱流にマグノンの寄与がそれほどあるとは思えないが。

No. 57と同様で、反強磁性体におけるA+, A-ドメインを外場で制御する方法をレビューしている。

96. Dynamical Properties of Induced-Moment Systems、B. Grover.
結晶場の影響で最低準位が非磁性のシングレットになっても低温で磁気秩序が発生しうる希土類物質の理論。いろいろな論文があるが、結局これが一番わかりやすいよ。No. 5のNiF\(_2\)の磁性も実はこれと関係がある。

スキルミオンの存在を無理に仮定することをしなくても磁化に比例しない異常ホール効果が発現してもいいことを示した論文。安直なトポホ信仰へのアンチテーゼを与える記念碑的論文。

98. Giant nonlinear anomalous Hall effect induced by spin-dependent band structure evolution, Xiangyu Cao et al.
磁化について大きく非線形な異常ホール効果が発現する理由を提唱した論文。磁化に比例しなければ脳筋でトポホだという調教を受けている人は読むべき。

99. New Galvanomagnetic Effect, Colman Goldberg and R. E. Davis.
立方晶非磁性体のPlanar Hall effectに関して議論した論文。Seitz, Phys. Rev. 1950 (doi.org/10.1103/PhysRev.79.372), Pearson, and Suhl, Phys. Rev. 1951 (doi.org/10.1103/PhysRev.83.768)もあせて読もう。

100. Longitudinal Hall Effect, Ludwig Grabner.
正常Hall効果ともPlanar Hall効果とも違う縦Hall効果を議論した論文。Planar Hall効果は磁気抵抗の異方性に起因して生じる効果なので磁場反転に対して遇関数、縦Hall効果は本質的にホール効果なので磁場反転に対して奇関数。時間反転に対する対称性が異なるので間違えないようにしよう。立方晶の場合元の対称性が高いので磁場に関して3次のオーダーだが、No. 28のような低対称性の系だと磁場の1次から生じる。α-RuCl\(_3\)の面内磁場中で生じている熱ホール効果も熱伝導に関するこの効果に相当するので"Planar thermal Hall effect"と呼称するのは誤用(識者ゆる募)。

101. Magnetostriction and magnetotransport in bismuth, J.-P. Michenaud, B. Lenoir, and C. Bellouard.
No. 28, No. 100と同様なことは\(R\bar{3}m\)のビスマスでも起きる。つまり抵抗率テンソルの非対角項には場合によっては磁場に関して対称な成分と反対称な成分が足し合わさっている。このようなとき、その成分の磁場依存性は磁場反転(\(H\rightarrow -H\))に対して対称でも反対称でもなくなる。これはNo. 90に出てきたゼーベック効果のumkehr効果の磁気抵抗に対応した効果である。ビスマスでそれを検証しようとした論文。しかし、対称性的に出ないはずの方向にも応答が出ていてなんか変。アンチモンでも報告がある。論文(Rashid et al., Phil. Mag. B 1980, doi.org/10.1080/13642818008245367)を参照。

102. General relations for transport properties in magnetically ordered crystals, H. Grimmer.
結晶磁気点群で許される磁気輸送現象を分類した論文。歴史的観点からのレビューもあるのでまずはこれを読んどけ。No. 6のShtrikman&Thomas(1965)論文がすごいってこと。

103. Plane Hall Effect in Ferromagnetic Metals, Vu-Dinh Ky.
強磁性体の磁化の向きに関係したPlanar Hall effectを議論した論文。これより古いのあったら教えてな。

104. The effect of a crystalline electric field on the magnetic transition temperatures of rare-earth rhodium borides, D. R. Noakes, and G. K. Shenoy.
希土類化合物の磁気転移点がde Gennes因子(\((g_{J}-1)^2 J(J+1)\))でスケールできない系は多い。結晶場効果での説明を試みた論文。

105. Sensitivity of Curie temperature to single-ion anisotropy, M. E. Lines.
単サイト磁気異方性(\(DS_z^2\))の磁気転移点(\(T_{\text{C}}\))への効果をeasy axis/plane両方に関して議論した論文。容易軸型(\(D<0\))のときとは対照的に容易面型(\(D>0\))のときの\(T_{\text{C}}\) vs. \(D\)は非単調。むずかしいなあ。

106. A pictorial approach to macroscopic space-time symmetry, with particular reference to light scattering, I. M. B. de Figueiredo and R. E. Raab.
群論による物性の理解は表現論とかを勉強しなきゃいけなくてだるいと思っていないだろうか?実はもっと簡単だよ。ここで展開されている手法を使えばたとえばNo. 63の非相反伝播現象に関する磁気点群の対称性の条件も導くことができる。

107. Geometrical Effects in Transverse Magnetoresistance Measurements, J. R. Drabble, and R. Wolfe.
磁気抵抗の形状効果。縦抵抗を測定する電極の位置が電流印加用電極に近すぎると磁気抵抗が過大評価されてしまうことを議論した論文。試料幅とホール角に関する依存性が導かれている。

108. Improved Method for Measuring Hall Coefficients, I. Isenberg, B. R. Russell, and R. F. Greene.
No. 107に対応して、ホール効果を測定するときの形状効果を議論した論文。試料の幅を試料長さに対して細くしないと測定値は真のホール電場を過小評価してしまうことが導かれている。
これと同様に熱ホール効果に関しても形状の効果が研究されている。S. Munford et al., doi.org/10.1063/5.0024253.これによると電気的ホール効果と同様に熱流方向の長さに匹敵するくらい幅の広いサンプルを使った測定では熱ホール係数の過小評価が起きるようだ。例えばCzajka et al., doi.org/10.1038/s41567-021-01243-x のようなやたらに横幅があるサンプルを使った熱ホール効果の測定で熱ホール伝導度が量子化してるかしてないかを議論するのは慎重になるべきだ。

109. Effect of Mean Free Path on the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida Spin-Density Oscillations, A. J. Heeger, A. P. Klein, and P. Tu.
RKKY相互作用は\(\cos (2k_{\text{F}})/r^{-3}\)で減衰するとされているが、電子の平均自由行程\(\lambda\)によって\(\exp (-r/\lambda)\)になることを実験的に確かめたと主張する論文。この主張はそもそもde Gennes (1962, J. Phys. Radium)やMattis (1965, Theory of Magnetism)が現象論的に導入したものである。一般的な教科書ではRKKY相互作用はべき乗で減衰する長距離相互作用として紹介されるが平均自由行程はつねに有限なので、もしこの主張が正しければ長距離相互作用ではありえないことになる。直感的にはもっともらしいが本当だろうか?Zyuzin et al., (1986, JETP), Bulaevskii et al., (1986, JETP), Jagannathan et al., (1988, doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevB.37.436), Wong et al., (1984, doi.org/10.1016/0304-8853(84)90300-7)を読むと不純物は振動の位相には影響を与えるが減衰には影響を与えないということになっている。

110. Field-Induced "Exchange Flips" in a Randomly Diluted Antiferromagnet, A. R. King et al.
FeF\(_2\)にZnをドープした系ではspin-flip転移が多段転移になることを報告した論文。ひょっとして絶縁体の量子振動なのではないか?ただ転移磁場は等間隔なので\(1/B\)で振動するわけではない。古い論文を掘り起こしてみると新規理論のネタはここそこに転がっている。

らせん磁性を勉強し始めたら出会う論文。いわゆるde Gennesスケーリングの微視的基礎を与える。
同年はらせん磁性理論が豊作である。下記の論文も読んでおこう。

112. Energy dependence of the Fermi surface and thermoelectric power of the noble metals, R. R. Bourassa, S. Y. Wang, and B. Lengeler.
ごく簡単な描像ではゼーベックの符号はキャリアの符号、つまりホール係数の符号に一致するように見える。たとえばNa, Kでは実際それが成り立っている(\(S_{xx} < 0\))。一方同じ一価金属のLi, Cu, Ag, AuはNa, Kと違ってゼーベックの符号が正である。この違いがどこから来るのかを説明するアイディアを示す論文。J. E. Robinson (1967, doi.org/10.1103/PhysRev.161.533)もあせて読もう。簡単なレビューはK. Behnia, "Fundamentals of Thermoelectricity" (Oxford, 2015)にも書かれている。

熱磁気効果 (thermomagnetic effect)のレビュー。磁場中の電気伝導、熱電効果、ネルンスト効果、熱ホール効果などを統一的な視点から概観している。それぞれのテンソルを取り扱うときの方法や注意点が簡潔にまとめられている。研究や勉強を始めるときはこれで勉強しよう。
